A Pakistan national, identified as Sultan, was arrested by BSF personnel near the New Gajni Wala border observation post in the Ferozepur sector late last night.
Sultan, who looked to be an insane, was arrested when he entered the Indian territory last night and came near the cobra fencing on the border. Pakistan currency was also seized from his possession.
Setu Ram, Commandant (BSF) said though efforts were made to extract information from the Pakistan national, he had been saying one word, Sultan, to every question. “It seems that Sultan is an insane. We will hand over him to the local police,” he added.
He said no weapon, narcotics and any other incriminating document were recovered from Sultan adding that a case in this regard would be registered by the police. — TNS
