Sources said nothing objectionable was found from him and efforts were being made to send him back to his country. However, the Pakistan Rangers have refused to accept him as their national. BSF officials have decided to hand him over to the police for further legal action.

However, Shahbaz claimed that he was son of Miraz Din and his family lived in Gujaranwala district.

Meanwhile, a patrolling party of the BSF arrested two more Pakistani nationals for illegaly entering into the Indian territory from the border outpost, Kahangarh. They gave their identification as Abid Ali (23) of Sahewal district and Imtiyaz Ali (20) of Faislabad district.
