Despite the fact that BitTorrent remains the most popular file-sharing tool, cyberlockers like RapidShare are also flourishing. One can notice that in the world of file-sharing there is always room for simplicity, and new tool called Fyles proves just that.

That’s the picture you get with Fyles, a drag-and-drop based file-sharing website. Although drag-and-drop sharing can hardly be considered a breakthrough technology, the interface of the program is still the simplest one. The developer of the new tool explained that he decided to launch the new service because other file-sharing services make a very simple process extremely complicated, while the time of the waiting and downloading process can last forever. As for Fyles, the service is fast and virtually unlimited.

The tool works the following way: after the user drops a file into the box, it automatically provides them with URL to the file, which can be shared with everyone. The service doesn’t ask users to wait, and doesn’t set any speed limits or restrictions except the file size limited to 2GB. In case the website becomes popular, the developer might monetize it through advertising, but that’s not a near project for him.

The purpose of Fyles is to make sharing as simple as it possibly can be, and it even doesn’t require sign-up. Meanwhile, the tool creator doesn’t plan anything major for the future except some tweaks. However, based on the public’s reaction, he may want to add such additional features as mp3 streaming, image viewing, and video playback.

Launched just a month ago, Fyles has already managed to draw around 80,000 registered users, and its founder announced a new feature for Twitter users. They are now provided with unlimited storage space through personal drives. The feature works just as easy as the original service. Twitter users can use the link containing their Twitter username to claim their personal drives. After this, they have to authenticate their accounts and those would be ready for use, offering embedded audio and video players for various media file types. Thus, it becomes extremely easy to share video footage through Twitter.

Even after launching this new feature, the tool creator denies that monetization strategies are a key focus for him right now. What happens to the service in future still remains to be seen.
