A 17-year-old boy, recently released from a juvenile home after he had sexually abused a 12-year-old boy, has been apprehended again after he allegedly raped his younger sister. The juvenile raped his 14-year-old sister multiple times, making her pregnant, cops said.
According to sources, the family is from Sonipat and currently lives in a rented accommodation in Bhondsi. The accused is third of the six siblings, while the girl is the fourth one. Both are school dropouts.
During counselling, the girl said that she was raped for the first time a month ago. Since then, he raped her two more times. However, she didn't tell anyone because the accused had told the girl that he would tell their parents that she was of loose character and had been secretly meeting boys, said sources.
"The girl was raped in the night while the rest of the family was sleeping in the other room. She is too young to understand what had happened to her and to speak against her brother," a relative of the girl told TOI.
However, she recently realized that she is probably pregnant as she missed her monthly cycle. She confided into her elder sister who then shared her plight with their parents.
Her father, a school bus driver, took her to the police station on Friday. An FIR was lodged under Section 6 of POCSO Act at Bhondsi police station.The accused was arrested and produced in court. He is now back in Borstal juvenile home in Faridabad from where he came home recently.
"The accused has a history of being a sexual offender. He was booked on June 7, 2015 for unnatural sex with a 12-year-old boy," said ACP Hawa Singh. This time the accused preyed upon his own sister , he said.
Meanwhile, the child was taken for medical tests at the civil hospital in Sohna on Friday afternoon. When the tests confirmed her pregnancy, she was referred to civil hospital in Gurgaon.
