In Rohtak, a minor girl committed suicide by setting herself ablaze in Sector 1 of Rohtak on Tuesday.
The victim, daughter of a migrant labourer, was alone when she was assaulted by a youth, also a migrant labourer.
Sources said Govind Singh, a resident of Mahua town in Uttar Pradesh, was staying in a temporary accommodation in a house along with his 15-year-old daughter.
While he went to work, the accused entered the victim's house forcibly and raped her. The girls' mother was away to her native village village in Uttar Pradesh.
Later, the girl set herself afire and was rushed to PGIMS in a critical condition by her neighbours. However, she succumbed to her burns.
