PATIALA: “Media has been supporting me for assuming Chief Ministerial post”, said Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal Wednesday here after launching the online National Permit window for trucks and heavy vehicle.
He was replying to a query that he has been laying series of foundation stones and inaugurating projects since last fortnight and does it by him amounts to preparing road map for him to take over the reins of the state.
“We have promised the development of Punjab and committed for the time bound completion of all infrastructure projects,” he added.
Expressing satisfaction at successful unbundling of PSEB, Badal said that Punjab has become a pioneer state by achieving smooth transition from PSEB to two unbundled corporations. Badal said that Punjab had spent Rs. 650 crores to strengthen power transmission network.
When asked about who was efficient between him and his father – Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, he refused to comment on it.
He was asked to comment on the statement of former chief minister Capt. Amarinder Singh’s statement that Sukhbir was quicker and efficient than his father Parkash Singh Badal.
