LOVERS FROM PUNJAB END LIFE IN SHIMLA

Two young lovers, fearing ostracism back home in Binderkalan village of Moga district, ended their lives tragically by consuming pesticide in a newly opened hotel here and left behind suicide notes saying that none be held responsible for their deaths.
Jagsir Singh (26) and Harinder Kaur (24) were found dead in a room of Hotel Landmark on Thursday, which the management got opened after they noticed that the occupants were not seen or heard for the whole day, said KD Sharma, SHO Boieluganj police station. "Police were informed and we found the two dead at the bathroom door of the hotel room with froth in their mouth," he added.
Sharma ruled out any foul play saying, "It is a case of suicide as we have recovered two suicide notes, which say that no one be held responsible for the consequences of their action." While parents of Jasbir Singh claimed the body on Friday and decided to take it back to their native place, parents of Harinder had her cremated at a local crematorium here, police said.
The boy was a student with Punjab Technical University and the girl was doing a nursing training course at Muktsar. Parents of the two were unaware that the the duo had come to Shimla on August 17, the SHO said.
