LIVE: 4 dead in shooting at mall in Washington, suspect still at large

A gunman opened fire in a crowded mall north of Seattle, killing four people before fleeing on Friday night, authorities said.
The shooting occurred at about 7:30 p.m. local time Friday at the Cascade Mall in Burlington, Washington, about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington State Patrol spokesman Mark Francis said on Twitter.

12:00am: 
The death toll was again revised to four by Washington state authorities.

10:40am: KIRO, a television station in Seattle, reported that shoppers had locked themselves in dressing rooms and other areas of the mall, too frightened to come out.

9:58am: An employee at a restaurant near the mall said they “immediately locked the doors” when they heard of the mayhem. Stephanie Bose, an assistant general manager at Johnny Carino’s Italian restaurant near Cascade Mall in Burlington, Washington, told The Associated Press the shooting happened inside the Macy’s department store.

Sergeant Mark Francis described the suspect in the shooting at Cascade Mall in Burlington, in the US Pacific Northwest state as a “Hispanic male wearing grey.”
The Cascade Mall is an enclosed shopping mall in Burlington, Washington that opened in 1990, according to the mall’s website. It features J.C. Penney, TJ Maxx, and Macy’s stores, among other stores, restaurants and a movie theater.
