New Delhi Rakesh Roshan's Krazzy 4 hit the theatres on Friday after the Roshans and Ram Sampath reached a Rs 2 crore out-of-court settlement on Thursday.
The matter was brought up in the Bombay High Court when music composer Ram Sampath levelled allegations of plagiarism against the filmmakers, for lifting his tunes from a Sony Ericsson ad.
On Thursday, the court gave its decision in favour of Sampath.
Meanwhile, Rakesh Roshan's office, clarifies that Sony Ericsson had granted permission to the Roshans to use a portion of the jingle, later however, Sony Ericsson clarified that the letter was issued by mistake and in fact they didn't have the rights.
Before the out-of-court settlement between the Roshans and Sampath, the court has ordered that Krazzy 4 could be released without the songs in question.
The film has now been released with its original soundtrack intact.
