There is a prevailing curfew in almost half of the state following the death of Burhan Wani. This Kashmiri couple braved its way and reached out to help a Pandit friend with some food as his family did not have enough food.

Zubeda Begum and her husband risked their lives and walked through the deserted roads of Srinagar to get some food to their friend Diwanchand, who had called from the other side of Jhelum and informed them about their family’s problem. Diwanchand had called Zubeda in the morning as they needed food supplies and they have an ailing grandmother in the family. Without giving a second thought, Zubeda went out to help them.

It is worthwhile to note that Kashmir is witnessing heavy protests and unrest for the last four days owing to the death of Burhan Wani.
