ISHMEET DIED DUE TO DROWNING: VISCERA REPORT

The death of singing sensation Ishmeet Singh at a resort in Maldives on July 29, 2008, was simply a case of drowning, according to the report of the viscera examination held at Government medical college (GMC) here.
A team of four doctors at GMC and Rajindra Hospital conducted the viscera examination Ishmeet, winner of the reality show 'Star Voice of India 2007', had gone to the Maldives for a stage show.
But, the singer, who had won the hearts of millions with his mellifluous voice, drowned in the swimming pool of the hotel he had lodged there. Ishmeet's viscera had been sent to the GMC for examination. The post-mortem conducted at Ludhiana on Ishmeet's body showed the 19-year-old singer died due to "asphyxia".
