NEW DELHI: A man threw ink at Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Monday as he came out from a meeting with Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung.

The deputy chief minister was addressing reporters after his meeting with the LG when he was attacked with ink.

According to initial reports, police have detained Brajesh Shukla, the man who allegedly threw ink at the deputy chief minister.

Lt Governor Jung had on Friday asked Sisodia to cut short his trip to Finland and return to Delhi immediately in view of the outbreak of chikungunya and dengue in the Capital. The health crisis has triggered a further tussle between the Kejriwal government and the LG's office.

Sisodia returned to the capital from Finland today.
