In Faridabad, only one graduate among winners

Though the average age of the newly elected members of the Zila Parishad (ZP) here has gone down to 40, but it has only one graduate among the winners. The ZP has a total strength of 10 members in the district.
Mukesh Rani, who has been elected from ward 10, is the only graduate among the winners, while two members possess Plus Two qualification, five are matriculate and two are Class VIII passed.
Earlier, the average age was 45 years, said an official.
Meanwhile, nearly 15 per cent of the total elected members of the Block Samitis are graduates. Four graduates have been elected from the Ballabgarh block and five from the Faridabad block. The Block Samitis have a total strength of 30 members each.
As many as 19 women have been elected in both the samities.
