The Haryana Sikhs would decide their future course of action at the ‘Sikh Sammelan’to be held at Kurukshetra on March 29, Jagdish Singh Jhinda, the president of the HSGPC (adhoc) said.

He told reporters here that only that political party would be supported which comes forward openly to support the Sikh demands like according the second language status to the Punjabi language and its implementation in letter and spirit, to support the formation of a separate Haryana Sikh Parbandhak committee for the management of the Sikh Shrines in the State and to support the proportionate reservation for Sikhs in government jobs and seats in State legislature.

Mr. Jhinda said that he would present himself before the ‘Akal Takht’ at Amritsar on March 17 to explain his role in the Sikh Sammelan concluded peacefully on We-dnesday at village Jhord Rohi in Sirsa district in which Sikh leaders like Baljit Singh Dadu also participated. Mr. Jhinda claimed that the Sikhs were peace-loving people and they shun the cult of violence.
