The Congress today accused the PDP-BJP coalition government of forgetting the promises made to the people before the Assembly elections last year.
“People in all three regions are suffering and confronted with problems due to the misrule and mishandling of situations by the present dispensation. There is complete uncertainty. The state government is not visible on the ground,” J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president GA Mir said while addressing a rally at Achabal in north Kashmir today.
Lashing out at the coalition for its failure on all fronts, Mir expressed concern over the chaotic situation created due to wrong policies of the state government. He said the PDP and the BJP were moving in different directions and enjoying power by not caring about the issues confronting people.
“Both PDP and BJP are ruling the state in a different manner. Their approach towards the state and the people is confusing and sending wrong signals in the regions,” he added.
Saying that some hidden elements were trying to vitiate the atmosphere of peace for their vested interests, Mir said the Congress was the only unifying force that would not allow any force or element to disintegrate the state.
He cautioned the people of all three regions of the state to remain vigilant and counter the forces or factors aiming to communalise the situation for their vested interests.
