Five persons, including two women were injured, when a steam boiler exploded at a restaurant here at the busy Majestic locality in the city. The injured, were employed as cleaners at the restarunt, police said.
The condition of one of the two persons who suffered 50 per cent burn injuries was stated to be critical. The other three suffered injuries ranging from 10 to 25 per cent, they said. Police attributed the explosion due to 'negligence' by the restaurant operators in maintaining the steam boiler.
