Attari April 25:

Custom officials recovered fake Indian currency having face value of Rs 2 lakh from a goods train, which runs between India and Pakistan for trade activities.

Fake Indian currency was seized by the Indian custom department at the international Attari Railway station located close to Pakistan, custom officials said. The fake currency having denomination of Rs 500 was concealed in a specially created cavity near a wheel of the train, and was seized during the routine rummaging at Attari Railway Station, they said.

So far no arrest has been made in this regard. Fake Indian currency was dispatched from Pakistan while concealing it in the cavity of train and was supposed to be retrieved by someone here, custom officials said.
