Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal ordered suspension of a Deputy Superintendent of Police, transfer of a sub-inspector and initiated departmental probe against four others for allegedly misbehaving and intimidating journalists in Bathinda city late last month.
Flanked by his Media Adviser Harcharan Bains, Director Information and Public Relations Tejvir Singh and the Punjab Police chief N.S. Aulakh, the Chief Minister made the announcement while talking to a delegation of journalists from Bathinda district, who were supported by their Chandigarh-based colleagues under the aegis of the Chandigarh Press Club.
