New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore kept chipping in with wickets at regular intervals to unsettle the Delhi Daredevils batsmen in match 30 of IPL-4 at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium Tuesday.

Earlier, David Warner and Virender Sehwag were dismissed after providing the Daredevils with a solid start even though James Hopes tried to steady the ship with a half-century.

Daniel Vettori, skipper of Royal Challengers, won the toss and elected to bowl against the Daredevils. Both teams are playing themselves back into form after a rather indifferent start.

Comprehensive winners

While Bangalore were comprehensive winners over the Kolkata Knight Riders by 9 wickets in their previous match, Delhi beat Kings XI Punjab in a high scoring affair on Saturday.

Meanwhile, it was learnt that former captains Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardena are also packing their bags for an early exit. Sangakara and Jayawardena, who are currently in-charge of the Deccan Chargers and Kochi Tuskers Kerala respectively, will reportedly leave the Indian Premier League (IPL) early to start preparations for the first Test against England on May 26.

Consent

According to The Island, both players are expected be in Colombo by May 16 and will leave the island a day later to join the squad for the second warm-up game on May 19 against England Lions at Derby.

The newspaper also reported that both players have received the necessary consent from their franchises to make an early exit.
