Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) MLA Renuka Bishnoi said the state government’s decision to register a case against former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda was a delayed, but a right decision.
In a statement during her Hansi visit today, the HJC MLA and wife of party supremo Kuldeep Bishnoi demanded there were other allegations too against Hooda that must be probe. “The former CM’s 10-year tenure had witnessed high-scale corruption, especially in land acquisition and grant of change of land use (CLU) certificates. These cases, too, need to be inquired into,” she said, adding the industrial plot allotment scam was just the tip of the iceberg.
Renuka claimed the BJP government had followed its predecessors, Hooda and Om Prakash Chautala, in ignoring Adampur and Hansi Assembly segments.
She alleged the distribution of the HRDF and the development plan funds brought out Adampur, represented by Kuldeep in the Assembly, was the most neglected segment. INLD MP from Hisar Dushyant Chautala, meanwhile, demanded a CBI inquiry into allotment of land to an associate of Congress president Sonia Gandhi by Hooda during his tenure.
