On the occasion, he announced to increase the monthly minimum wages of unskilled labourers from Rs 5,900 to Rs 7,600 and of that of skilled labourers from Rs 6,536 to Rs 9,699. He said the state government was committed to providing welfare services to state employees. Their salaries would be increased, said Khattar.

“Under the social audit scheme, village-level social audit committees would be set up in the state. It would help in eradicating the menace of corruption and discourage the commission agents,” said Chief Minister.
He said sugarcane of each and every farmer would be purchased. The Saraswati Sugar Mills, Yamunanagar, would be made operational from December 1.
“On his initiative, the Saraswati Sugar Mills authorities have agreed to shift the mill 10 km away from the city. Assembly Speaker Kanwarpal Gurjar, Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Das Arora, CPSs Shyam Singh Rana and Bakhshish Singh Virk and Sadhaura MLA Balwant Singh also spoke on the occasion.
