New Delhi, June 3 (ANI): A Chinese Company is building a replica of the famous luxury liner Titanic, which sank in 1912 after hitting an iceberg during its maiden voyage, for tourists, which will be permanently harbored in a reservoir in the Qijiang River in Daying County.

Su Shaojun, chairman of Seven Star Energy Investment, said that the size of the replica would be exactly 269 meters long and 28 meters wide, the same as the original, and will include facilities like a high-tech simulation cockpit where the visitors can experience what it felt like when the original ship hit an iceberg in the North Atlantic and sank.

He further revealed that Bernard Hill, who played captain of the doomed ship in the movie by same name, is happy to be the honorary captain of the new replica ship, which is unsinkable and will "never make him die".

The replica which will cost an estimated 1 billion Yuan was designed by GC High-Tech Inc, a US company, and is being made at Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry.
