The Centre has shifted Haryana cadre IAS officer Yudhvir Singh Malik, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) CEO who came into limelight following the ban on Maggi noodles, to a newly created post of Additional Secretary in the NITI Aayog.
Malik, a 1983-batch officer, has been put in place of his batch-mate Keshni Anand Arora, whose appointment was cancelled by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet headed by the PM. Appointed FSSAI chief in September last year, he was in the headlines after the food regulator in June banned global giant Nestle's popular noodle brand Maggi.
