The Bharatiya Janata Party asked the government to review its policy on China after Army Chief General V.K. Singh's statement Oct 5 that around 4,000 Chinese troops were present in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
"General V.K. Singh's statement that Chinese army is present in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is an alarming situation," BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said. "The situation has become more serious after the recent strains between the US and Pakistan over the Haqqani terror network issue." He added: "The government should discuss this issue with China."
