Melbourne January 30:

The India Express, Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes, lost the men's doubles final of the Australian Open to the twin American brothers of Bob and Mike Bryan.

The third-seeded pair was outclassed by the top-seeded duo 6-3, 6-4 in the championship match at Melbourne Park, the Age reports. In a match that lasted a little more than an hour, the Bryans brothers were never broken, totaled nine aces, and hit 26 winners. It was the 10th Grand Slam title for the Bryan, and their fifth in Melbourne.

The top-seeded duo had also won the Australian Open in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010. Bhupathi and Paes were bidding to win the only Grand Slam title missing from their cabinet.
