Post Bhiwani’s varsity remains on paper

The demand for a medical university in the district was raised in the run-up to the last year’s Assembly elections.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had supported the demand twice — once in December 2014 and then this July during his ‘vikas rally’ here. Till this day, the demand remains on paper.
The other announcement of finalising land for Chaudhary Bansi Lal University (CBLU) has yet to see light of the day. The district administration, however, claims to be trying its best for it. At present, the CBLU is being run from a rented complex on the Hansi road here.
The demands for a girls’ senior secondary school and a park on the Dadri road have no takers in the administration.
Khattar had promised the government was keen on fulfilling all demands. But residents said the promises remained hollow.
Residents of Pahaluwas village had protested for more than a week, demanding the construction of the park. Land allotted for the park is being used to dump garbage. DC Saket Kumar said the administration could not construct the park till a solid waste management plant was constructed. He added land proposal for the medical university and CBLU had been sent to the government for approval.
