Bathinda-talwandi Sabo Road To Be Four-laned, Says Badal

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal said announced that Bathinda-Talwandi Sabo road would be four-laned by next Baisakhi.
Speaking at the party's political conference here, Badal said domestic flights from Bathinda and international flights from Mohali would be started soon. In yet another announcement, he said government would provide 20 lakh Bt cotton seed packets to the state farmers.
Badal said Rs 100 crore would be spent on Guru Granth Sahib University at Fatehgarh Sahib. Badal said beginning today, the government had started the process of recruiting 14,000 teachers in the state. Later in the day, he handed over 261 appointment letters to the newly-recruited teachers at Rajindra College, Bathinda. SAD chief Sukhbir Badal reiterated the government's resolve to improve irrigation facilities in the state.
Meanwhile, in another political conference, KAC leaders honoured family members of Bakshish Singh, Swaran Singh, Hoshiar Singh, Parveen Kaur and other suspects in the assassination bid on the Dera Sacha Sauda chief.
