Arvind Kejriwal Named Among World’s 50 Greatest Leaders By Fortune Magazine

AK storms into World’s 50 greatest leaders
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been named among the world’s 50 greatest leaders by Fortune magazine. He is the only leader from India to bag a place on the list that has been topped by Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon. This is Fortune magazine’s third annual ‘World’s 50 Greatest Leaders’ list that features personalities across the globe from the fields of business, government, philanthropy and arts.

Other names in the list
The AAP chief has bagged the 42nd position on the list for his efforts to curb pollution in New Delhi by implementing the odd-even vehicular policy on alternate days on the city’s roads. Bezos, who topped the list this year, has been on the list all three times. He is followed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel (2), Myanmar’s pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi at (3), Pope Francis at (4) and Apple CEO Tim Cook at (5). The list also includes the likes of US astronaut Scott Kelly (22), Canadian PM Justin Trudeau (48) and Bhutanese PM Tshering Tobgay (50). Along with Kejriwal, another South Asian in the list is the Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is in number 10.

10th Youngest in the list
It is worth noting that Mr Arvind is the 10th youngest leader in the list.
