#HumanityWashedAshore: Artists from around the world mourn the drowned Syrian boy

The photo of the dead 3-year-old Syrian boy on a Turkish beach is haunting. The image of little Aylan Kurdi is hammering home the Syrian migrant crisis to the world, largely through social media. Aylan died along with his 5-year-old brother and their mother when their small rubber boat capsized as it headed for Greece

Artists from all over the world paid their amazing tributes to Aylan under the hashtag #KiyiyaVuranInsanlik

Photographed lying face down, three-year-old Aylan has now become the tragic symbol of the migrant crisis in Europe.

In a second image, a Turkish security officer was seen cradling Aylan in his arms

Besides Aylan, his s 5-year-old brother, Galip and other family members also died after the boat taking the family to Greece sank.

The family had been trying to cross from the flashpoint town of Kobane that last year was the subject of a months-long battle between Kurdish militias and jihadists.

Aylan and his family members were trying to immigrate to Canada where his aunt lives

The European leaders and Arab world have come under sharp criticism for not doing enough to end the migrant crisis

The family had been promised a motorboat for the trip from Turkey to Greece but in, the smugglers gave them a 15-foot rubber raft that capsized into the sea, killing Aylan, his brother and mother.

Aylan's father Abdullah Kurdi, who survived tried his best to keep both his boys, Aylan and Ghalib, afloat but failed
