Anupam Kher never shies away from keeping forth his point of view. The actor never minces his words and calls a spade a spade, especially when it comes to socio-political issues. It clearly showed when Anupam became the centre of various debates on intolerance. He even went on to openly oppose Aamir Khan for his comments on intolerance.
While many people seem not so happy with Narendra Modi's surprise visit to Lahore, Anupam has jumped in to praise the Indian PM. Calling it "an important diplomatic move", Anupam said that Modi was trying to control the situation between the two countries like the "head of a family".
He further said that Indians should feel happy for a lot of things that are happening but unfortunately the Prime Minister has become target of anything that happens in this country.
Further backing Modi's move, Anupam said that those who say that the Prime Minister has gone to Pakistan to celebrate the birthday of Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, they should also mention that he had celebrated Diwali with Indian soldiers on the border.
