Anil Ambani fears murder attempt :Choppe

Industrialist Anil Ambani Thursday evening filed a complaint alleging his helicopter had been sabotaged, Mumbai Airport police has said. Anil Ambani heads the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group.

According to police officials, Ambani said his Bell 412 seven-seater helicopter was "sabotaged".He was to fly out of Mumbai on Friday morning and had sent the chopper for servicing on Wednesday.

The police spokesman added: "When a technician from Airwork Private Ltd., the workshop where the chopper had gone for servicing, went to take the helicopter inside the workshop, he found the fuel tank cap was loosely fitted ."

The technician immediately alerted his manager and a thorough check up was conducted. During the check up, they found pebbles and mud in the fuel tank of the chopper. Pebbles and sand could have clogged the fuel passage and can be dangerous and can even lead to mid air explosion or even crash.

Sudhakar Surve, the manager of the Airwork, immediately lodged a complaint with the Sahar Police Station, near the airport, in the evening. The complaint was of the nature of 'mischief with intent to cause hurt or death'.​
