37 students injured in bus mishap in Punjab

HOSHIARPUR: Thirty-seven students from Jammu and Kashmir, who were going on an excursion to Ludhiana, were injured on Saturday in a road accident.

The students of DAV Collegiate School, Lachhipur, Kathua, were travelling in a mini bus which turned turtle on a bridge near village Rehlan on Jalandhar-Pathankot National Highway, police said.

All the injured were shifted to Civil Hospital, Dasuya, from where one student Vikrant was referred to DMC, Ludhiana, in critical condition.

The incident occurred when the driver applied sudden break to avoid a collision with a car.
