258 Punjab policemen get long-awaited plots

Mohali September 19:

With 258 members of Punjab Police getting allotment letters for their respective plots, the dream right from the rank of constable to IPS officers to have residential plots got fulfilled. Witnessing the successful initiative of Punjab Police Co-operative House Building Society (PPCHBS), Director General of Police PS Gill wanted more such co-operative ventures and housing scheme.

During an impressive function on Saturday, Punjab DGP PS Gill and Ansal Properties and Infrastructure Limited (APIL) chairman Sushil Kumar Ansal handed over them the allotment letters to police personnel for their respective plots. The plots are situated at Golf Links township in Mohali.

Addition to 54 IPS officers and 32 PPS officers, the allottees who felt contented with the initiative also included 98 other ranks staff, 12 ministerial staff, 56 non-gazetted officers and six others when DGP handed over them allotment letter indicating transfer of possession in their respective names.
