Chandigarh- At least 12 college students were killed and 15 injured in Haryana Thursday when their bus collided with a truck, police said.
The students were from Sri Ram College in Yamunanagar, about 140 km from here. Officials said the death toll could rise.
"Eight bodies are taken to the civil hospital here while four have been taken to another hospital. Around 15 students were injured and they are also admitted in the hospital. Right now we are busy in ascertaining the identities of the deceased," investigating officer Rajinder Kumar said.
"Death toll can also go up. It is very difficult to say anything at this moment. We have registered a case and have started our investigations."
