10-YEAR-OLD BOY SODOMISED, STRANGLED TO DEATH

Accused allegedly refused to pay back Rs 5,000 borrowed from the deceased’s mother, avenged humiliation
A 10-year-old boy was allegedly sodomised and murdered in cold blood over at Bal Singh Nagar last night over a monetary dispute. Sant Lal and his aide Ramji allegedly electrocuted and strangled Rattan Kumar Behra to death after he failed to pay back Rs 5,000 borrowed from Rattan's mother. The murder took place last night and the boy's body was recovered from Sant Lal's house this morning.
A naked electric wire was found tied around the neck of the deceased, who was missing since yesterday. Meanwhile, Sant Lal and aide Ramji are absconding. According to information, after school hours on Tuesday afternoon, Sant Lal lured the boy to accompany him to his house in their neighbourhood. "He took the boy along with him and killed him," alleged a relative of the deceased.
The family suspects the role of Sant Lal behind the murder and kidnapping as he had threatened to avenge insult and humiliation he faced a day before after he failed to return the money. "Sant Lal and deceased's mother Sandhya work in the same factory. Sant Lal had borrowed Rs 5,000 from Sandhya. When he failed to return the money even after repeated prods by the boy's mother, this led to as heated argument between the twoon Tuesday.
Enraged at the humiliation, Sant Lal had threatened her with dire conquences," said Gurbans Singh Bains, SHO, Basti Jodhewal Police Station. The police have registered a case against Sant Lal and Ramji under sections 302 and 34 of the IPC.
