Frankly, I never have heard about deadly catepillars.
Lonomia obliqua is a catepillar that no one should ever touch.
Because when you do, it can cause serious internal hemorrhaging and even death.
Lonomia obliqua can be found on the bark of trees in southern Brazil.
So it's dangerous to lean against a tree there.
Symptoms of Lonomia obliqua poisoning include severe internal bleeding, renal failure and hemolysis.
