After the long wait, the XIX Commonwealth Games get underway and Delhi is all set. While the events start from October 4, a grand ceremony at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 3 declares the Games open.

The Games opening ceremony will be attended by President Pratibha Patil, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Prince Charles and many other dignitaries.
In a three-hour long ceremony, artists will present rich tradition of Indian dances in a 30-minute capsule. Seen here in the picture are the folk dancers.
