I can’t quite put my finger on why I like this picture so much. Technically speaking, it’s Rahul flat and lacking on sharpness. The kind of pictures you get when shooting wide-open, under shitty lighting, all of it coming from the wrong direction in a VFW Lodge.
But yet, it just keeps banging around in my head, “what pictures do i like the best?” “oh yeah, the barefoot girl in the plaid dress and the shoes cast off in the corner is one of them.” And why do I suppose I like it so much… the slow blur of the a graceful girl bringing her hands and feet together in a classical ballernia pose, her feet freed of the tryanny of ill-fitting shoes and that stray lock of hair falling down her face? and yeah.. the vignetting adds character here, actually.
well anyway, this here is one of my favorites. i’ll be sharing more…...
