Team and Culture Description:
The Role is that of a Technical leader for CDMA/EHRPD/UMTS & LTE Protocol Stack * who will be part of the modem technology team in Bangalore. The primary responsibility will be: system architecture, system engineering, requirement analysis, Coding and End to End Integration of Control & Data Plane of Protocol Stack.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Candidate will responsible for coming up with new and innovative ideas to improve the power, performance & stability of modem. Candidates will actively participate in Field and IOT testing and work closely with chip set vendors to perform defect analysis and make quality fixes. Extension and maintenance of legacy code and also software bring-*up on new chipset as required.
Basic Qualification:
Bachelors degree in Engineering
~10 years experience with 3GPP GSM/CDMA/UMTS/LTE related standards.
Strong Domain Expertise on Protocol Stack (NAS, RRC, RLC, PDCP, MAC), LTE Stack(NAS, RRC, eRLC, eMAC, ePDCP), TCP/IP.
Strong coding and debug skills in C, C++
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Android RIL, Telephony, IMS components.
10+ Experience in SW development, trace and debug tools (ARM RVDS, Lauterbach Debugger).
Strong Expertise in Platform Services (RTOS) & Designing and developing real*-time & mips efficient code.
Strong Knowledge and hands on experience on System Selection, Handover Performances, hardware accelerators
Proven track record in resolving End*-2*-End data performance issues & MIPS Optimizations.
Expert in GIT, End*-2*-End Data Path Integration, MOL Support.
Ability to lead and mentor the other team members.
Strong verbal and written communication with excellent ability to articulate the technical details.
Ability to work well in cross-*functional teams settings.
Should be a self starter, and Passionate about developing innovative high quality modem.
Experience working in third*-party Chipset solutions will be an added advantage.
