VDV surprised by Redknapp news

Rafael van der Vaart admits news of Harry Redknapp's heart surgery has come as something of a surprise to the White Hart Lane playing staff.
Tottenham announced on Tuesday that their manager had been taken to hospital and required a 'medical procedure'.
It was then revealed on Wednesday that the Spurs boss will have an operation on a minor blockage in one of his arteries
Going under the knife will force Redknapp to miss Spurs' Europa League trip to Rubin Kazan on Thursday.
Victory for Spurs in that fixture will see them secure a safe passage into the knockout stage, and that is precisely what they intend to achieve.
Van der Vaart admits he has been left shocked by the news regarding Redknapp, but claims it is now up to the players to put in a performance their manager would be proud of.
Asked if the Spurs squad were aware of what was happening to their boss, the Dutch playmaker told Sky Sports News HD: "No, we were also totally surprised.
"I was a little bit scared because it's something that has been in the news and they never told us.
"I hope he will get better and we can keep on winning for him."
