It will be a crucial week for UAE football clubs as they host an Asian Football Confederation (AFC) delegation that is scheduled to visit from Tuesday to October 10.
The aim of the visit is to ensure that all clubs meet AFC regulations across various criteria including stadium facilities, spectator figures, operational matters and marketing activities. Meeting these criteria is vital in order to secure the UAE's participation in the AFC Champions League (ACL) competition with the current number of associated slots.
The delegation will meet members of the UAE Football Association (UAE FA) and the Professional League Committee (PLC) on Tuesday and then travel to Al Ain to inspect facilities at the Qattara Stadium. Later in the day the delegation will visit Dubai Club in Al Aweer.
