Tillakaratne Dilshan is set to miss the limited-overs series in England later this month due to personal issues, a report on ESPNcricinfo on Wednesday (June 1) stated. The opener has already informed Sri Lanka Cricket about his decision.

Sri Lanka are scheduled to play two One-Day Internationals against Ireland in Dublin before the five-match ODI series and one Twenty20 International against England.

Kusal Perera is likely to be included in the squad after the International Cricket Council lifted the provisional suspension imposed on him for failing a drug test. He's already a part of the Sri Lanka Test squad after Dhammika Prasad was ruled out due to an injury.

Dilshan has been in good form and accumulated 1212 runs from 27 ODIs at an average of 50.50. He sparkled with the bat against Afghanistan in the ICC World Twenty20 in India earlier this year with an unbeaten 83 before ending the tournament with 133 runs from four games at an average of 44.33. He retired from Tests in 2013.
