Viewers in Australia will be able to watch India's tour of England, which comprises five Tests, five ODIs and a Twenty20 international, on Fox Sports. The match between the MCC, led by Sachin Tendulkar, and a Rest of the World XI, led by Shane Warne, on July 5 will also be telecast.

Fox Sports' enthusiasm for cricket had waned when it lost rights to last summer's Big Bash League to Ten Network. The recent England-Sri Lanka series was the first time an England home series had not been seen on cable TV in Australia since 2002, causing what can be termed a fair degree of outcry among cricket followers in the country.

The TV rights for series not involving the country of the broadcaster are generally inexpensive, and the digital multi-channels for Ten, Nine and Seven free-to-air networks were believed to have shown some interest before Fox Sports decided to pick up the rights for the England-India games.
