TIPS ON WHAT RED LIPSTICK TO BUY

RED has always been the sexiest lipstick colour – and the most daring.

Stars such as Kate WinsletAnne Hathaway and Megan Fox love it.

Now you can brighten up a dull January with the following selection of scorching shades.

And you needn’t be frightened to wear them, because this easy-to-follow guide will help you pick the perfect one to suit your skin tone.

Postbox red suits everybody but paler skins show it off best.

Try a shade with a blue undertone if you have fair skin. The blue also makes your teeth look whiter.
Pink, berry, plum and brick work best with the English rose complexion because they play down red skin tones.

If you have olive or dark skin, then go for golden, orange or earthy hues.

Keep the rest of your make-up simple to focus attention on your lips.

In the evening, team them with smoky eyes for an ultra- sexy look.

DAILY ; BEAUTY CARE tips ; FOR MEN

Don’t worry, it’s not un-manly to actually use something other than soap to cleanse and nourish your skin and hair. If you still cringe at the thought of proper grooming, baby you need help. Just try the following, and if you still aren’t doing well with women, perhaps the answer lies in the fashion tips.

Morning Call :
If you don’t already do this, honey, you are in big, big trouble. Washing your face in the morning is integral. Make sure you use a facial cleanser (no, not soap). An exfoliating scrub two to three mornings a week helps remove dead skin cells (the flaky stuff on your face the morning of a hangover) and prevents breaks-outs and blocked pores. Massage the scrub gently in a circular motion, and not in the manner you would remove grease from a frying pan.

The Shower
Lukewarm water is best, as hot water will strip your skin of its natural oils Use a loofah (a rough sponge made from the fruit of a tropical plant) to remove dead skin. Shampooing doesn’t just encompass hair, but your scalp as well Massage shampoo into your scalp with your fingertips and rinse. Use a conditioner to tame wild locksRinsing your hair thoroughly will prevent the build-up of shampoo residue that results in dry and "flat" hair.

Close Shave :
Best to shave while you are still in the shower as the steam softens the hair shafts. Shave with the grain as much as possible, and use a razor with two parallel blades to prevent less irritation. Once you are out of the shower, slap on alcohol-free toner followed by moisturiser to keep your cheeks and chin soft and your five o’clock shadow at bay.

Gel It Up :
Try not to blow-dry your hair too often as it will become brittle. To keep your glorious mane in place, use gentle styling products like gel, spray or a light mousse

Smelling Suave
No matter how much you think you don’t stink, it would be advisable to wear a scent-free antiperspirant-deodorant, followed by your fave cologne or perfume. Remember, two clashing scents can result in stench.

Pearly Whites
The best time to brush your teeth is right after breakfast. Brush for at least three minutes, including the small slab of muscle beneath your palette. Flossing regularly will get rid of food particles that can cause nasty tooth decays and toothaches.

Sun Screen
Guys are more vulnerable to the wind and sun because shaving strips away the uppermost layer of skin. Use water-based, oil free sunscreen and a UV-resistant lip balm

Working It Right :
There is no substitute for exercise. It keeps your blood circulating and therefore, your skin tight and supple.
Never, ever touch your face with hands that have been on shared gym equipment For obvious reasons, it promotes zits, blackheads and everything you don’t want on your face.

GUY STYLE

Hey guys! Think worrying about what to wear is just for girls?

HERE ARE A FEW OF RULES ABOUT FASHION FOR GUYS:

•Buy quality and take good care of your clothes.

•Be trendy, but not a trend-worshiper.
•Find out what's in style so you're not wearing a fad that's over (like cargo pants, which are so out).
• Buy the classics: Jeans, khaki pants, T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters.
• Update your wardrobe with accessories

▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

SUGGESTIONS TO MAKE IT EASIER

Colors
You can compliment or contrast. Here's the lowdown:

•Complimentary colors are closer together in shades. Produces a more
subtle look: Blue and green, khaki and gray, orange and red.

• Contrasting colors play off of each other. A bolder look: Black and
white, navy and khaki, denim and red.

Layer
Choose either complimentary or contrasting colors (to avoid a just-rolled-outta-bed-and-threw-something-on look). Try these:

Tee + polo
Tee + sweater
Tee + polo + sweater
Tee + polo + oxford
Tee + tee.

Acessorize
• Your shoes and belt should be the same color. Black with black, brown with brown.

•A rugged necklace made of leather, shells, or big beads can really pull an outfit together.

• Use hats in small doses. Baseball caps can be totally out of place worn with jeans and a nice top. A newsboy cap can be pulled off by only the trendiest guys. If you insist on sporting a topper, try a stretchy knit cap (best for fall/winter) or a sporty visor (best for outdoors).

• Buy cool shades. Andy says the hottest shades feature lenses with flash mirroring and gradient colors like deep reds, oranges and gold .

▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

Do's
• Experiment with styles. Urban; Prep; Sophisticated; Artsy; Retro; Mod; Punk; Surfer. Try to mix different looks.
• Be particular about the fit of pants - especially denim. Tapered leg (fitted at the ankle) is an absolute NO! Slightly loose-fitting in the leg with a bit of a boot-cut is always flattering.

Don'ts
• Avoid the head-to-toe baggy look -- it's just not flattering. T-shirts that reach to your knees will make your legs look two inches long (plus those extremely wide-leg jeans won't help!).
• Skip the athletic socks with non-athletic shoes. Doesn't work with loafers, oxfords, leather boots, and most importantly, Doc Marten-style leather sandals.

Ever
Pass on head-to-toe logos. Mixing labels = good. Mixing over-the-top logos = tacky. When it comes to designer sigs, less is always more.

THE WONDERS YOUR KITCHEN CONTAINS !

Here is a selection of must-try-at-home tips..

Beer:

Washing your hair with beer will leave it soft and shiny. Traditional real ale will work best. It’s said to be full of protein which is good for hair strength and growth. Mix beer with water and honey to make it less potent and prepare to smell like a brewery. Make sure you rinse this out with warm water after.

Toothpaste

This stings like hell but it does clear skin blemishes by drying them out due to the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide found in most toothpastes.

Honey:

This is one of the oldest moisturisers in the world. It works by nourishing the skin. Honey removes dirt, is antibacterial, soothing and smoothing and regulates moisture levels. It works on all skin types but especially for blemished, dry and sensitive skin.

Tomato sauce:

If you want to rejuvenate blonde and get rid of brassy tones, tomato sauce will “lift” the colour. It acts as an antioxidant and can neutralise green tones because of the red pigment in it.

Aspirin:

In order to get relief from dandruff, mix two to three aspirins in your normal shampoo. Expensive dandruff shampoo contains salicylic acid which is present in aspirin, so it works in the same way. It will act immediately to clear your scalp of dandruff and grime at a fraction of the cost.

Salt:

Rough sea salt can be used on wet skin as a natural way of exfoliating and removing dead skin cells. When used regularly, your skin will look clean and healthy. Mix the salt with honey or essential oils for a sweeter aroma.

Chilli:

Eat a spicy meal or rub mild chillis directly on to your lips. This will cause your lips to swell and save pounds on lip plumping.

Teabags

Many believe that cold teabags can relieve tired and puffy eyes. No need for milk and sugar – just ten minutes of your time. The tannin in tea bags has been proven to reduce swelling and discoloration.

Cucumber

Cucumber slices have long been used to reduce puffiness and refresh the appearance of skin around the eyes due to being primarily composed of water. They also contain ascorbic acid, vitamin C and caffeic acid which help soothe skin irritations.

Teaspoons:

Put a teaspoon in the fridge before you go to bed and place it on your puffy eyes in the morning for ten minutes. The icy cool of the metal will relieve sore, tired eyes.

Olive oil:

For dry and damaged hair, use a mix of olive oil and essential oils. This works as an emollient and restores the weakest and most brittle of tresses. For super-damaged hair, use equal amounts of olive oil, coconut milk, honey and light sesame oil then add a couple of eggs. Blend all this together, leave on overnight and this nourishing concoction will work wonders.

Lemon

A slice of lemon will help to lighten darker patches on your body but do not use it on dry or sensitive skin. Squeezing some lemon juice on your roots or mousey coloured hair will also lighten it up. Lemon juice does not require sunshine to work. The acids it contains work on their own to bleach hair or skin.

Potato:

Use thin potato slices to cover your eyes for ten minutes. They are rumoured to lighten dark circles. Potatoes contain an enzyme called catecholase which is used in cosmetics as a skin lightener.

Chamomile tea:

This is great for calming a nervous stomach and relieving menstrual cramps. It also works wonders on dull and damaged hair. Pour room temperature chamomile tea over your head letting it soak in for two to three minutes. Do this regularly for a noticeable difference. Chamomile lightens up any hair colour but especially light brown and blonde.

Mayonnaise:

This is the most common food used to restore moisture and shine to locks. The popularity of this treatment is due to the three main ingredients: Eggs, vinegar and oil.

Each of the ingredients can be used individually to provide volume, shine, and hydration to your hair, or you can get the benefits of all three by using mayo. Massage it through and keep it in overnight (wrap your hair in clingfilm). Rinse out carefully with cool water

MAKE UP FOR BROWN SKIN

The best makeup for brown skins would be colours from pale beige to rich brown.

Dark colours need shades that will complement their skin tones.

For Indians

Fair :Natural
Brown : Beige
Dark brown : Tan

Foundation and Powder Compact:

Use foundations and powder compacts according to your colour. If the exact shade you would like is not available then select a shade that is closest to your neck colour and add a little distilled water to make it more translucent.

Dark circles :

On dark circles apply Foundation colour which is one shade lighter than the shade applied on the face. This will make dark circles around the eyes look lighter.

Mascara :

Brown mascara looks beautiful on dark colour. A black eye pencil rimming the eyes can give a stunning impression.

Eye shadow :

Soft eye shadow in brown giving the winged doe-eyed look would be excellent, this should blend into the upper brow bone, from a soft brown to soft brick brown. Soft brown eye shadow used on the lower lashes would complete the entire effect

Lipsticks :

Shades of maroon or brown will look good on dark skin.

Blusher :

Shades in Maroon and brown will go well

MEN : HOW TO AVOID RAZOR CUTS

One of the perils of shaving your face is getting burns or nicks from the razor.

• First, always ensure that your blade is suitably sharp.

•Only apply the pressure you need - do not over press.

• Use cold water rather than warm when removing the cream

•Dry your face well

• Use a moisturising lotion over the area where you shaved once finished - this will help soothe the skin
