Make up Mistakes That Make You Look Old

Is your make up really working for you or is it ageing you? Women use make up to enhance their features and look pretty. But, when done wrong it can make one look much older. Watch out for these common make up mistakes that can age your appearance.
Using heavy foundation
A thick layer of foundation can actually make you look 10 years older than your real age. The trick is to create a flawless complexion without using too much product. Keep in mind you’re aiming for a natural look and not a cakey effect.

Applying excess concealer under the eyes
Using a concealer under the eyes will help camouflage the dark circles but applying too much concealer will have the opposite effect. Instead of camouflaging, it will make that area stand out and enhance all the fine lines around it.

Using powder on fine lines

Many women apply powder on their face as a final step to seal in the make up but this may easily turn into a blunder if done wrongly. The powder you use will amplify the appearance of fine lines and make your face appear chalky. So the next time you use powder, make sure you apply it sparingly while avoiding the area under the eyes and other areas where fine lines appear.

Using too matte lipstick
Be cautious while using matte lipstick as this lipstick may emphasise all the little lines on your lips that you probably didn’t notice before. To avoid this situation, apply some lip gloss on the matte lipstick to smoothen out those lines.

Overdoing lip liner
Heavily lined lips, using a wrong lip liner or going too far outside your lips natural line will age your face instead of enhancing it. So, avoid over-using your lip liner for a flawless look.
