Masaba Gupta is the talented daughter of cricketer Vivian Richards and Neena Gupta. She has established her name as one of India's most promising new designers. Now She is a popular fashion designer whose client list includes Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor among other big names from Bollywood.
Career:
This young designer has been successful in making an impact in the fashion scene with her quirky, yet feminine drapes and silhouettes. Masaba prefers organic fabrics enhancing them with classic weaves and patchwork.
Masaba's collection turned heads with its vibrant colours and bold patterns. She even won the 'Most Promising Designer' title and had the crowd buzzing. In the year 2010, she opened her flagship store in Mumbai. Actress Sonam Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Mandira Bedi are among her clients. In LFW Summer/Resort 2011 she has shown collection inspired from the Masai tribes of Tanazania. She named the collection 'Straight from my soil', as she is half African.
