Dark comedy Shor In The City opened to rave reviews and buoyed by the positive response its director duo now want to explore overseas markets with their humane thriller that captures the restless moods of Mumbai.

"Right now we have just had an India release. The plan was to first release it here and see how it works. To release a film overseas, you need to do a lot of publicity. Now that it has generated so much buzz and positive response here, we feel it can travel much further and we can use this buzz," Krishna DK, one of the directors, said.

"Right now, we don't know when will we release it overseas, but I'm sure the producers will consider the option now."

Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the film is co-directed by DK and Raj Nidimoru and stars Tusshar Kapoor, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Preeti Desai, Radhika Apte, Pitabosh and Nikhil Diwedi.

DK said: "Raj and I are very thrilled. We were expecting that people will like the film, but the amount of positive response we have got is really great. We didn't expect so much. It's flattering. We are relieved now. Just waiting for the common man's response now."

This is the duo's second film after 99, which did not do very well at the box office. They are now looking forward to their next film, which they will direct for Saif Ali Khan's banner Illuminati Films.
