Kundan Shah, the filmmaker whose flash of brilliance was seen in the cult comedy Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro in 1983, is all set to direct another satirical black comedy with a somewhat similar flavour. The scoop is that Shah wants Aamir Khan to play the lead role.
The movie is titled Tycoon and Shah has been meeting Aamir to discuss the project.
The only hitch is that Shah wants to make the entire film on a skimpy budget of Rs. 5 crores only. However, Aamir alone is known to command an acting fee more than that amount. So the superstar will inevitably have to slash his fee if he really gets hooked to the script of Tycoon.
Shah says the film will also have a strong element of romance and it will basically be ‘experimental’ cinema.
Now the only doubt is - will Aamir Khan come around?
