UTV is diversifying not just in quantity but also quality. The production house has scrapped down its ambitious project, the remake of Meethi Oli for Sony TV and is currently making Amar Prem for Star Desh. But after splurging on various serious and social daily soaps, UTV is planning to create a sitcom for Sab TV.
An insider confirmed the news and divulged some facts stating, "UTV is coming up with a sitcom for SAB TV. The title for the show has not been decided yet but the show is expected to go on floors by the 20th of this month and will be launched by first week of November. The show will revolve around the lives of people on a railway platform and will have trains and railway platforms in the background as the set. The story will consist of various characters on a platform which will create humour in the story. The casting is in process and will get locked within few days."
