Bollywood singer and sufi maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will be in the capital on November 3 to enthral his fans with hit numbers including Tere Mast Do Nain and Jiya Dhadak.
To be held at Abu Dhabi Hall, Adnec, the award-winning qawwali singer will also de-mystify the sufi devotional genre through his eclectic body of work.
Trained by his uncle — the legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan — the Pakistani singer is credited with bringing sufi music to the forefront.
Doors open at 8pm and the show starts at 9.30pm. Tickets cost Dh140, Dh400, Dh640 and Dh1,000. .
Meanwhile sufi singer Zila Khan will be performing ghazals for the Indian Community Welfare Committee on Saturday at the Al Bustan Rotana, Dubai.
The Kolkata-born Khan learned and performed music with inspiration from her father, sitar maestro Ustad Vilayat Khan.
